Space42 Expands Earth Observation Capabilities as Three Foresight Satellites Become Fully Operational

Space42 (ADX: SPACE42) announced that its Foresight-3, Foresight-4 and Foresight-5 satellites are now fully operational, expanding the company’s Earth Observation (EO) constellation to a total of five Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites.

The milestone enhances Space42’s ability to provide continuous data acquisition and AI-powered geospatial intelligence services to governments, enterprises and industries globally. The three satellites were launched in November 2025 and were developed in partnership with Finland-based ICEYE.

Key highlights:

• Foresight-3, Foresight-4 and Foresight-5 now fully operational
• Space42’s SAR constellation expanded to 5 satellites
• Satellites launched in November 2025
• Developed in partnership with ICEYE of Finland
• Critical integration and testing completed in Abu Dhabi
• Expanded monitoring coverage across high-demand regions

According to Space42, the new satellites were placed into mid-inclined Low Earth Orbit, extending monitoring coverage across strategically important regions where more than 90% of the world’s population resides. The constellation provides SAR imagery to Space42’s AI-powered geospatial intelligence platform, GIQ, which converts raw satellite data into actionable intelligence within minutes.

The system delivers:
• 25-centimeter image resolution
• All-weather imaging capabilities
• Day-and-night monitoring coverage
• Faster revisit rates across key regions

Space42 stated that GIQ can help:
• Reduce emergency response times by up to 90%
• Lower predictive maintenance costs by up to 30%
• Reduce operational inefficiencies by up to 25%

Hasan Al Hosani, CEO of Smart Solutions at Space42, said the expanded constellation strengthens sovereign Earth observation capabilities while supporting the company’s strategy of becoming a preferred provider of premium geospatial intelligence solutions globally.

The company noted that demand for Earth Observation services continues to grow as governments and industries increasingly rely on geospatial intelligence for risk management, operational optimization, climate monitoring and security applications. According to the company, Earth Observation insights are projected to generate more than USD 700 billion in economic value globally by 2030.

The expansion also supports the UAE’s National Space Strategy 2030 by combining sovereign space infrastructure, artificial intelligence capabilities and local manufacturing expertise.
