ICATT RESPONSE PLUS, the specialised aeromedical venture of ADX-listed Response Plus Holding, has completed nearly 1,000 flying hours within five months of commencing operations, supporting complex medical evacuation missions across 20 countries and five continents.
Operating from Abu Dhabi, ICATT RESPONSE PLUS provides international aeromedical services for patients requiring complex or time-critical transfers between healthcare systems.
The company operates a “bed-to-bed” medical evacuation model, coordinating the patient journey from the referring hospital through ground transportation and air travel to the receiving healthcare facility.
Its service is supported by a purpose-built Challenger 605 flying intensive care unit air ambulance, described as the first of its kind in the UAE. The aircraft is capable of non-stop missions of up to 7,400 kilometres while providing critically ill patients with advanced medical care and continuous clinical monitoring.
ICATT RESPONSE PLUS has conducted more than 390 extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) initiations and transfers, including the initiation of ECMO on a three-day-old infant. It has also transferred a one-and-a-half-month-old baby requiring nitric oxide and oscillatory ventilation support.
The company also facilitates medical evacuation for patients travelling from the GCC to destinations worldwide, with missions planned according to individual clinical requirements, destination, aircraft configuration and applicable regulatory considerations.
ICATT RESPONSE PLUS Chairman Dr Rohil Raghavan said transporting critically ill patients across borders requires hospital-level care, specialist clinical expertise and coordination throughout the entire journey.
