Parkin and Q Mobility have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore the integration of their digital parking ecosystems, potentially creating a more unified parking experience for residents and visitors travelling between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Under the agreement, the two companies will work on connecting their systems and digital platforms to provide users with a unified and secure way to access parking services and pay parking fees through integrated digital channels. The partnership brings together the largest public parking operators in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The companies plan to develop a roadmap covering joint initiatives and pilot projects, with a focus on improving parking accessibility and managing parking occupancy and demand more efficiently. Artificial intelligence, data analytics and other digital technologies will also be considered to forecast demand, optimise occupancy and improve service quality.
Parkin and Q Mobility will also explore opportunities to exchange data and technical expertise, subject to applicable regulations and data protection requirements. The partnership will assess new parking management technologies, improve the utilisation of existing infrastructure and strengthen the long-term readiness of parking facilities across both cities.
The agreement does not specify when integrated parking services will become available. The two operators will first develop the roadmap and evaluate potential pilot projects as they work towards greater integration between the mobility ecosystems of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
