MAIR Group has opened the Makani Shakhbout Community Center in Abu Dhabi alongside a new ADCOOP store, expanding its retail and commercial real estate presence in the UAE.
The new community center spans more than 10,000 square meters of gross leasable area and includes 52 commercial units. Occupancy exceeded 65% ahead of the opening.
Makani Shakhbout includes restaurants, cafés, specialty stores, pharmacies, money exchange services and more than 200 parking spaces.
The new ADCOOP store occupies approximately 2,000 square meters and brings ADCOOP’s total retail network to 101 stores. It will provide residents of Shakhbout City and surrounding areas with groceries, fresh food, household products and other everyday essentials.
MAIR Group said the opening supports its integrated model of combining grocery retail with commercial real estate assets. The company plans to continue expanding selectively across high-demand communities in the UAE.
MAIR’s wider commercial real estate portfolio includes more than 70 malls and community hubs, with approximately 475,000 square meters of gross leasable area and an overall occupancy rate of 89%.
