ePointZero, a subsidiary of Two Point Zero Group, has entered into an agreement to acquire a 90% stake in Azura Power Holding Limited, expanding its investments in energy infrastructure across Africa.
Founded in Abu Dhabi, ePointZero invests in specialized energy infrastructure including pipelines, power generation and energy storage assets. The company focuses on infrastructure supporting electrification, rising energy demand and digital and industrial growth.
Azura Power currently operates 752 MW of power generation capacity across three African markets. Its portfolio includes the 461 MW Azura-Edo facility in Nigeria, the 116 MW Tobene facility in Senegal and the 175 MW CTRG facility in Mozambique.
The three assets are supported by long-term power purchase agreements. Azura Power also has an active development pipeline exceeding 1.5 GW across gas, renewable energy and battery energy storage system projects throughout Africa.
The acquisition would give ePointZero a majority position in an established African independent power producer with operating assets and a pipeline of energy projects across the continent.
ePointZero is currently completing the procedures required to close the transaction, which remains subject to obtaining the necessary approvals from relevant regulatory authorities.
