EFG Hermes UAE has launched fully digital onboarding for Dubai Financial Market investors through its EFG Hermes ONE trading and investing app. The new service allows investors to obtain a DFM Investor Number (NIN) and open a trading account directly from their mobile phones.
The process is fully digital from start to finish, eliminating the need for paperwork or branch visits and allowing investors to become ready to access DFM-listed securities through the platform.
The launch comes as DFM continues to attract new investors. During H1 2026, the exchange onboarded 42,864 new investors, with foreign nationals accounting for 71.4% of them. Total traded value reached AED 119.5 billion during the period, an increase of 40.4% year-on-year.
Foreign investors accounted for 51% of DFM’s total traded value during H1 2026, while institutional investors represented 71.2%.
EFG Hermes said it ranked first on DFM during H1 2026 with a 48.52% market share and also ranked first on Nasdaq Dubai with a 65.69% market share.
The digital onboarding initiative forms part of EFG Hermes’ broader digitalisation strategy and supports DFM’s efforts to simplify access to Dubai’s capital markets.
