Dubai Islamic Bank Reports AED 5.61 Billion Net Profit for First Nine Months of 2026 as Total Income Rises 7%

Dubai Financial Market-listed Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) has reported a consolidated net profit of AED 5.61 billion for the first nine months of 2026, compared with AED 5.68 billion during the corresponding period of 2025, representing a year-on-year decline of approximately 1.3%.

According to the bank’s condensed consolidated interim financial statements for the period ended September 30, 2026, total income increased by approximately 7% to AED 18.58 billion, compared with AED 17.37 billion in the first nine months of 2025.

Net income after depositors’ and sukuk holders’ share of profit rose by approximately 2.7% to AED 9.93 billion, up from AED 9.68 billion a year earlier.

Net operating income before impairment charges increased by approximately 3.5% to AED 7.15 billion, compared with AED 6.90 billion in the corresponding period last year.

However, net impairment charges rose to AED 610 million from AED 292 million, contributing to the decline in overall profitability despite higher income.

Net profit attributable to the bank’s owners stood at AED 5.37 billion, compared with AED 5.46 billion during the first nine months of 2025.

Basic and diluted earnings per share remained unchanged at AED 0.72 for the nine-month period.

For the third quarter of 2026, Dubai Islamic Bank reported a consolidated net profit of AED 1.87 billion, compared with AED 1.95 billion in the same quarter last year, representing a decline of approximately 4.1%.

Total income for the third quarter increased to AED 6.14 billion from AED 6.02 billion, while quarterly earnings per share declined to AED 0.25 from AED 0.26.

On the balance sheet, the bank’s total assets reached AED 427.01 billion as of September 30, 2026, compared with AED 415.95 billion at the end of December 2025, reflecting growth of approximately 2.7%.

Net Islamic financing and investing assets increased to AED 287.09 billion from AED 262.06 billion at the end of 2025, representing growth of approximately 9.6%.

Customer deposits rose to AED 323.49 billion, compared with AED 320.18 billion at the end of December 2025.

Total equity increased to AED 55.71 billion from AED 53.14 billion, reflecting an increase of approximately 4.8%.

The financial statements also showed that the bank’s sukuk investments stood at AED 85.01 billion at the end of September, compared with AED 90.59 billion at the end of 2025.

Dubai Islamic Bank’s interim financial information was reviewed by KPMG Lower Gulf Limited and approved by the Board of Directors on October 20, 2026.

The results reflect growth in total income, financing assets and the bank’s overall asset base, alongside higher impairment charges and a modest decline in net profitability during the first nine months of the year.
