DEWA Delivers Highest-Ever H1 Results as Net Profit Rises 15% to Record AED 3.33 Billion

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) reported its highest-ever first-half financial results in H1 2026, with net profit increasing 15.02% year-on-year to AED 3.33 billion. Revenue reached a record AED 14.86 billion, up 1.80% compared with the same period last year.

EBITDA increased 5.27% year-on-year to AED 7.32 billion, while operating profit rose 9.08% to AED 4.07 billion. DEWA attributed its performance to sustained demand for electricity, water and cooling services, continued customer growth and disciplined operational performance.

Operationally, DEWA generated 15.78 TWh of electricity during the second quarter, including 3.14 TWh of clean power, which represented 19.9% of total electricity generated. Desalinated water production reached 40.25 billion imperial gallons during the quarter.

DEWA’s customer base also continued to expand, adding 18,220 customer accounts during the second quarter. Over the 12 months ended 30 June 2026, customer accounts increased by 72,718, representing year-on-year growth of 5.63% and bringing the total number of accounts to approximately 1.36 million.

By the end of H1 2026, DEWA’s installed power generation capacity reached 17,979 MW, including 3,860 MW from clean energy sources, representing 21.5% of its energy mix. The company also commissioned Block A of the Hassyan Sea Water Reverse Osmosis plant, adding 60 million imperial gallons per day to its water production capacity.

DEWA expects to distribute an additional AED 3.1 billion dividend for H1 2026 in late October, subject to the necessary approvals. Under its dividend policy, the company expects to pay a minimum annual dividend of AED 6.2 billion during the first five years starting from October 2022.
