Bolt Expands Ride-Hailing Services to Abu Dhabi Through Partnership with DTC

Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) and its strategic partner Bolt announced the launch of Bolt’s ride-hailing services in Abu Dhabi, marking a further expansion of their partnership across the UAE.

The launch will initially begin with limousine services, providing Abu Dhabi customers access to app-based ride-hailing through Bolt’s network of drivers, fleet partners and vehicles. Taxi services are expected to follow in the coming weeks.

According to DTC, the expansion follows strong growth in e-hailing demand across the partnership. In 2025, DTC reported a 24% year-on-year increase in e-hailing activity across its taxi and limousine segments, supported by fleet expansion and growing adoption of digital booking platforms.

The momentum continued into Q1 2026, with e-hailing activity increasing a further 9% year-on-year.

The company also highlighted the integration of 1,823 National Taxi vehicles into the Bolt platform during Q1 2026, supporting Bolt’s continued expansion across the UAE.

DTC stated that the Abu Dhabi launch aligns with its strategy to provide more accessible and technology-driven mobility solutions while supporting the UAE’s broader smart mobility transformation.
