The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange has signed an agreement with Al Mabarrah International Charitable Association to use ADX’s Endowment Shares Service to support humanitarian initiatives and long-term community development across the UAE.
The Endowment Shares Service allows investors to donate shares of listed securities to support charitable initiatives covering areas such as education, healthcare assistance, elderly care, orphan care centres and family support projects.
Subject to investor approval, Al Mabarrah will be able to retain donated shares and use the ongoing dividend income to fund charitable initiatives or sell the securities to support relevant humanitarian projects.
Under the agreement, ADX will work with Al Mabarrah to monitor and manage endowment assets and oversee the transfer of donated securities.
ADX Group Chairman Ghannam AlMazrouei said the partnership combines ADX’s capital market capabilities with Al Mabarrah’s charitable mission, providing investors with a structured framework to use capital market instruments to support humanitarian causes.
The initiative forms part of ADX’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility framework, under which the exchange works with government entities, educational institutions, market participants and community organisations on initiatives designed to create long-term social value.
