Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange-listed ADNOC Gas has signed a five-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply agreement with French energy company TotalEnergies for the delivery of up to 1.6 million tonnes of LNG. The agreement, announced on 3 November 2026, strengthens the companies’ existing commercial relationship and supports ADNOC’s expansion in international gas markets.
The agreement provides for LNG supplies over a five-year period, offering TotalEnergies additional access to natural gas for its international portfolio. The announced volume represents the maximum quantity covered by the agreement, rather than a guaranteed annual delivery commitment. Financial terms, including the contract’s total value and pricing structure, have not been disclosed in the available reports.
The deal builds on an established relationship between ADNOC Gas and TotalEnergies. In May 2023, the companies announced a separate three-year LNG supply agreement valued at approximately USD 1 billion to USD 1.2 billion under market conditions at that time. The latest agreement extends their commercial cooperation, although its financial value has not been specified.
The new contract also forms part of ADNOC’s efforts to develop its global LNG marketing and trading platform, launched in Abu Dhabi Global Market in July 2026. The platform combines LNG marketing and trading capabilities to improve supply flexibility, expand international customer relationships and support the management of ADNOC’s growing gas portfolio.
ADNOC has outlined plans to expand its marketable LNG portfolio to approximately 47 million tonnes annually beyond 2030. The strategy includes strengthening international supply relationships, developing gas resources and increasing the flexibility of its LNG trading activities across global markets.
The TotalEnergies agreement follows another international LNG supply arrangement announced in October 2026, under which ADNOC Trading agreed to deliver approximately 2 million tonnes of LNG to Thailand’s Gulf Group over a multiyear period beginning in 2027. Together, the agreements demonstrate continued efforts to expand ADNOC’s international LNG customer base.
For ADNOC Gas shareholders, the latest agreement represents an additional long-term commercial arrangement within the company’s broader LNG activities. However, the available announcement does not specify the contract’s expected revenue contribution, profitability or delivery schedule, making it premature to quantify its potential impact on the company’s future financial results.
