Abu Dhabi National Investment and Development (ADID) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Abu Dhabi Agriculture Club to strengthen cooperation in agriculture and food security and explore the development of integrated agricultural communities and projects.
The agreement establishes a framework for the two parties to exchange information and expertise while assessing investment, development and commercial opportunities across the agricultural sector.
The partnership will explore the potential development of integrated agricultural communities, sites and projects, as well as opportunities to market agricultural products produced by members of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture Club.
ADID and the Club also intend to explore a promotional initiative highlighting opportunities associated with up to 200 farms within future agricultural communities or projects. The 200-farm figure is an indicative target and remains subject to studies, approvals and subsequent agreements.
Other areas under consideration include potentially providing a site for the Abu Dhabi Agriculture Club’s headquarters and a model farm, alongside organising workshops and preparing preliminary studies for future initiatives.
ADID clarified that any future investments, contractual commitments or project decisions arising from the MoU will remain subject to detailed studies, assessments and relevant approvals.
