Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) has signed strategic Memorandums of Understanding with the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) and Damascus Securities Exchange (DSE).
The agreements will establish a framework for the three exchanges to explore capital market cooperation, including cross-border trading opportunities, wider investor access and potential integration with the Tabadul hub.
ADX said closer integration between regional markets could help unlock new investment opportunities, deepen market liquidity and support cross-border trading for investors and issuers.
The agreement with the Egyptian Exchange will explore areas including cross-market trading, capital market infrastructure and other opportunities aimed at strengthening cooperation between the UAE and Egyptian markets.
ADX will also work with the Damascus Securities Exchange on market development, financial technology and infrastructure, as Syria seeks to develop and modernise its domestic capital market.
The Egyptian Exchange currently has 277 listed companies and a market capitalization of approximately USD 77 billion as of August 2026. The Damascus Securities Exchange has 27 issuers with a combined market capitalization of approximately USD 2.1 billion.
The agreements were signed during the annual Arab Federation of Capital Markets conference in Abu Dhabi.
