Al Seer Marine has completed the sale and delivery of its VLCC Twin Pollux tanker, generating a profitable exit as part of the company’s active fleet management strategy.
The company said the transaction capitalises on strong tanker values, allowing it to realise returns from the investment while creating capacity to reinvest in opportunities with stronger return potential.
Al Seer Marine said the decision reflects its disciplined approach to managing its commercial shipping portfolio amid changing market fundamentals and a shifting geopolitical environment.
CEO Guy Neivens said the profitable sale demonstrates the company’s ability to identify opportunities to realise value from its fleet and redeploy capital where it sees stronger return potential.
The transaction forms part of Al Seer Marine’s broader strategy of building a high-performing maritime portfolio through active asset management, operational expertise and selective investment.
The company said it will continue evaluating opportunities across commercial shipping and its wider maritime platform as it advances its long-term growth strategy.
