Alpha Dhabi Holding has increased its investment in the MICAD Credit joint venture managed by Mubadala Capital, doubling its capital commitment to USD 1 billion.
Under the revised partnership agreement, Alpha Dhabi will also double its ownership interest in the joint venture to 40%, up from 20%.
The investment mandate of the joint venture has been expanded to include additional global private credit strategies available through Mubadala Capital’s relationships, alongside its existing direct lending activities in the United States and Europe.
The MICAD Credit JV currently manages approximately USD 1.7 billion in assets across 45 portfolio companies.
Alpha Dhabi Group CEO Hamad Salem Al Ameri said the expanded partnership reflects the company’s view of private credit as a strategic part of its investment portfolio. He added that increasing the commitment and broadening the mandate will provide access to a wider range of global opportunities.
Mubadala Capital said the expansion reflects the development of the joint venture and its focus on providing access to differentiated private credit opportunities through its investment capabilities and global relationships.
