Emirati women have strengthened their presence across the UAE’s financial markets, with their investments reaching AED 63 billion, according to figures from the Capital Market Authority (CMA).
There are currently 554,941 women investors participating across the UAE’s capital markets. Emirati women account for 70% of the total number of women investors while representing 93% of the total value of investments held by women.
The figures were released to coincide with Emirati Women’s Day and highlight the growing participation of Emirati women in the country’s financial markets. The CMA said their participation contributes to greater market depth and supports the UAE’s sustainable economic development.
The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) also reported strong participation from Emirati women, with close to 125,000 active Emirati female investors participating in the market.
As of July 2026, Emirati women held approximately AED 39 billion worth of shares on ADX, representing 94% of the total value of shares held by women on the exchange.
ADX Group CEO Abdulla Salem Alnuaimi highlighted the growing role of Emirati women in the economy and said the exchange remains focused on developing infrastructure and market access to support their continued participation.
The latest figures underline the expanding role of women in the UAE’s capital markets, with Emirati women representing the majority of both female investors and the investment value held by women across the country.
