Union Properties has announced the resignation of Amer Khan Saheb from his positions as Chief Executive Officer and member of the company’s Board of Directors, alongside the formation of a temporary committee to oversee the business during the leadership transition.
The Board accepted Khan Saheb’s resignation from the Board effective 24 August 2026, following his decision to dedicate his time and attention to his own business activities and projects. His resignation as CEO is subject to completion of the applicable contractual notice period.
During the notice period, Khan Saheb will complete a comprehensive handover of his responsibilities and ongoing matters to the company’s transitional management structure to support continuity of operations.
Union Properties has formed a temporary committee comprising Shaikh Nasser Almoalla as Chairman, Dr. Ali Al Kaitoob as Vice Chairman and Gary Reader as a member. The committee will oversee the continuity of the company’s business and monitor its financial and operational performance during the transitional period.
Dr. Ali Al Kaitoob has also been temporarily assigned responsibility for the company’s day-to-day executive management. His responsibilities include managing daily operations, supervising employees and departments, implementing decisions of the Board and committee, and taking executive actions required to ensure business continuity.
The temporary management arrangement will remain in place until a new Chief Executive Officer assumes their duties or until the Board resolves otherwise. Once a new CEO takes office, the committee and the executive management assignment will terminate and the relevant responsibilities will be transferred to the new CEO.
Union Properties said oversight, strategic decisions and other material matters reserved for the Board of Directors will continue to remain under the Board’s authority throughout the transition.
