Aldar Education announced a AED 385.8 million investment to relocate Cranleigh Abu Dhabi’s Prep and Senior School campus to a new purpose-built facility on Saadiyat Island, scheduled to open during the 2027–2028 academic year.
The new campus will accommodate up to 2,178 students and is designed to meet growing demand for premium British education while significantly expanding academic, sporting and creative facilities.

• AI and Virtual Reality-enabled learning environments
• Specialised Sixth Form research library

• Student leadership conference room
• Dedicated Sixth Form Majlis celebrating Emirati heritage and culture
• STEM, science and discovery labs for younger students
• Expanded Model United Nations (MUN) facilities
The new campus will also feature major sports infrastructure upgrades, including:
• 50-metre, 8-lane competition-standard swimming pool
• Aquatic gym
• Two-level multi-purpose sports hall
• Gymnastics, Jiu-Jitsu and dance studios
• Padel courts
• Basketball court with spectator seating
• Golf simulation studio
• Cricket and table tennis facilities
• Professional natural grass football pitch
For arts and creative development, students will benefit from:
• 650-seat auditorium
• Specialised black box theatre
• Drama and music studios
• Music technology and recording facilities
• Senior art studio and dark room
• Design Technology studio
• Radio and podcast studio
• Fully equipped ICT labs
According to Aldar Education, the project has been designed as a next-generation learning environment focused on academic excellence, sustainability, innovation and student wellbeing, while maintaining Cranleigh Abu Dhabi’s strong reputation for outstanding educational outcomes.
Cranleigh Abu Dhabi will continue operating from its current campus until the new facility opens, with a phased transition plan already in place to ensure continuity for students and staff.
