Dubai Investments’ Globalpharma Signs 7 Strategic MoUs Across R&D, Manufacturing and Sustainability

Globalpharma, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dubai Investments, announced the signing of seven strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening its pharmaceutical capabilities across research and development, manufacturing optimisation, financing and sustainability.

According to the company, the partnerships are structured across three strategic areas:
• Innovation and product development
• Manufacturing, efficiency and sustainability
• Market access, financing and expansion

The agreements include collaborations with:
• ZIM Laboratories FZE
• Molkem Chemicals Pvt. Ltd.
• Masibus (A Sonepar company) & Rockwell Automation
• 386 Sky Solar Energy Systems LLC
• Emirates Development Bank (EDB)
• Mubadala Bio’s Al Ittihad Drug Store (IDS)
• Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE)

Globalpharma stated that the partnerships are designed to support:
• Advanced pharmaceutical R&D capabilities
• Manufacturing automation and digitalisation
• Supply chain and localisation initiatives
• Structured financing for expansion
• Sustainable energy integration across operations

As part of the sustainability initiatives, the company plans to deploy a 612 kWp rooftop solar photovoltaic plant at its Dubai Investment Park facility.

According to the announcement, the solar project is expected to:
• Generate approximately 25.3 GWh of clean energy
• Avoid around 11,400 tonnes of CO₂ emissions
• Deliver an environmental benefit equivalent to planting over 21,700 trees

Globalpharma stated that the collaborations support the UAE’s broader goals around pharmaceutical localisation, industrial development, sustainability and healthcare resilience.
